Jeemain.nic.in Jee Main Result 2016

The result of JEE Main 2016 will be declared on the official website of JEE Main 2016 on April 27th, 2016. The official website link of the JEE Main is www.jeemain.nic.in . The result will comprise of two things, the score he or she has secured in the exam and his/her status about the eligibility to appear in the JEE Advanced 2016.

There will be two merit list which will be formulated separately for the two types of JEE. One will be for BE / B. Tech and other will be for B. Arch / B. Planning. The merit list will be made on the formula of 60/40 having 60% weight age of the marks scored in the JEE Main 2016 and 40% from the marks of Class XII or equivalent system.

The Rank cards which will have All India, State and Category Ranks of the candidates of JEE Main 2016 result will be hosted by the official website of JEE. There will be a category wise merit list in which the candidates will be listed in the ascending order of their ranks. The Class XII marks will be considered once they are normalized. Result cards will be posted to the candidates on their residential address after 12/07/2016. It has been mentioned that if any result card is list due to the postal transit, the official bodies of JEE will not be responsible for the loss. Thus it is advised for the students to fill their proper and right address while filling the form.

Those who will not receive the card at all in the given time by the official bodies, they will be able to get a duplicate copy of the result card from the JEE Main by making a payment of Rupees 50 for the result card and rupees 30 for postal charges. The amount will have to be sent through a DD drawn in the name of Secretary CBSE. The dates within which you can apply for the duplicate card are 01/08/2016 to 31/08/2016.

  • The one with higher scores in Mathematics in JEEMain 2016 will be given preference
  • The one with higher scores in Physics in JEEMain 2016 will be given preference

  • The one with higher absolute value of ratio of positive and negative marks will be given preference

    JEE Main 2016 Result – How to CHECK your Exam Result??

    After logging on the official website, students will be required to submit their Date of Birth and Exam Roll Number to see their exam score.
    Initially, the candidates will be able to see their individual score in the exam which will comprise of their score in every section of the exam and in aggregate.
    Soon after the declaration of JEE Main 2016 Result the exam board will release the All India Merit List in which candidates will be arranged in the increasing order of their ranks. The category wise as well as All India Rank lists will be separately released and hence all the candidates will be able to see their category wise as well as All India Ranking.

    JEE Main 2016 Result – Points to Note:

    The Board will release the answer sheets and images of answer copies of the candidates on the official website in  27th of April, 2016. In case any candidate has any objection regarding the responses or the answer keys released by the board, they can submit the same online with a fee of Rs. 1000/- per question.

    • Submission of all such objections will be done online only via the LINK which will be made available HERE.
    • The last date to submit this objection regarding answer key to be used for evaluation of JEE Main 2016 Result is 27th of April, 2016 (till 5 pm).
    • All the participants have to download their Rank or Score Cards from the official website only as from this year onwards, NO candidate will be sent any rank / score card via Post.
    • All the colleges will conduct their admissions on the basis of All India Ranking of the candidates keeping the category reservation in mind.

    JEE Main 2016 Result – Generation Procedure:

    The final merit will be prepared by giving 40% consideration to Class XII and 60% consideration to JEE Main.
    Because of varying methodologies of examination and evaluation over various State and School Examination Board, candidates’ score in class XII marks will be first NORMALIZED and then considered for estimation of final merit of JEE Main 2016 Result.
    The normalization will ensure that the candidates get compared to only the other candidates of their board and hence the evaluation will be kept fair.
    Tie – Resolution Procedure for Result Generation:

    In an event of more than one student obtaining same marks in JEE Main as well as the Normalized Score of Class XII Exam, the inter – se merit of such candidates will be calculated as follows:

    • Candidate having higher marks in Mathematics in JEE Main will be given preference while calculating rank in JEE Main 2016 Result.
    • Next preference will be given to the candidate having higher marks in Physics.
    • Next resolution will be done on the basis of Normalized Score. Candidate having higher NORMALIZED SCORE will be given preference.
    • Next criteria will be the ratio of positive and negative marks. Candidates with higher absolute ratio will be given higher rank.

    In case the tie in JEE Main 2016 Result still exists, candidates will be awarded the same rank.
